If you’ve ever had any kind of burger made of poultry, you may think they can only be dry and bland. This is because chicken or turkey has less fat than beef, which is what makes beef burgers so juicy. And, well, you probably know that chicken is less flavorful.
So my solution to these problems are simple — add a good seasoning blend to your meat that doesn’t overpower the burger, and add something for moisture (and in this case flavor.)
We’ll start with some apples and cheddar. Cheddar because, well, what burger doesn’t benefit from melty cheesy goodness, and apples, because they go with cheddar so well and add a lot of moisture. It pairs well with the savory Everyday Blend seasoning used to spice them up. A few chopped green onions, and you’ve got a flavorful burger that’s different than the usual ketchup, mustard, pickle beef burgers you usually get.
You can pan fry or grill these, but you’ll need a little bit of fat to do it, so Ava Jane’s Kitchen Avocado Oil it is. Serve on brioche buns with a bit of grainy mustard and some spinach and enjoy!
